What about your friends? Do you allow your man to come between you and your best friend?
I'm reading the current Essence Magazine May 2011 edition and they asked this question. I personally don't have to worry about this because my oldest daughter is my best friend and nothing will ever come between that!
"As you open the door to new relationships and remove the chain from your own fears, God will overwhelm you with new splendor."
NO!
I let my ex husband come between me and all my friends and soon found myself very alone in the world. When my best friend ended up in the hospital in critical condition, I couldn’t go because I couldn’t trust that man to keep things going at home while I went to her bedside.
Never again.
Current hubby knows my friends are very important to me, and he’d never dream of coming between me and them.

No! My thought isbif he is that insecure then he’s not the one for me!

I like Eva’s answer. I would take the entire concept into consideration.
If a man was being controlling well - NO!
I believe that in a relationship, God comes first, then my child then my s/o then my friends. This is of course me referring to the man Ive been with for many years.
Stupidly I have. And it is need for control, insecurity and jealousy that drives that insanity.
When one of my bridesmaids said she would only see me when I was alone and not with ex, and my cat Blaze couldn’t stand him, it should have given me pause for thought. (And, no, I’m not bitter. Okay, maybe a little.)) If my friends don’t like my S/O, there’s probably a good reason! S/O should appreciate that you have friends and vice-versa.
No way. You can always get another man, friends are forever.
Anne E., you know if your cat doesn’t like someone, you better believe there’s a good reason why and you should trust the cat!
No. My hubby knows all my friends and I know all his friends and we don’t have a problem with each other’s friends.
I’m going to be moving (eventually) and I’m reading here that it’s more difficult to make new friends, but I’m hoping to make some new friends in the new town I’m moving to. It’s a small town where everybody at least knows of everybody else. ;oD

It would never enter the mind. I pick my friends. I do have a friend that my husband isn’t to fond of it’s a personality thing but he would never come between. He doesn’t have to like my friends I do. My friends do not have to like my husband but there better be respect and politeness from all.
Some personalities just don’t click.
Never!...my GF’s are special and the couple that I have I cherish.
Hub has his own place in my life.
