    • It really depends on what is going on.  If it is just one of those days... Usually I will listen to whatever she needs to say (venting is a great release);  Give her some options/advice if that is what she is looking for.  Then we gradually will get onto a new topic, something more light-hearted & humorous.  She is hilarious so it doesn’t take much to get her to laugh once I’ve helped redirect her thoughts.

If it something more serious, listen, listen, listen!!!  Toss in a bit of advice if needed for perspective and listen some more!

When we lived closer I would do something small like buy her a card or send her some flowers.  She isn’t much of a touchy-feely person or gift person but she always appreciates the gesture.

I also love to send her books that make her smile, or provide inspiration.  I know they will always brighten her day!

      Love, Light & Blessings,

    • hearthappyGreat Mystical. Being that my oldest daughter is my best friend when she comes to me with her issues, I first pray with her then we discuss the subject and I will give her my opinions only for her to weigh them and use what she feels is worthy of her situation, then there are times I will send her flowers or a card or we would go shopping or out to dinner/lunch.happy

    • Depends on the situation.  Flowers and a visit, a funny text, a shoulder to cry on, an offer to run over her husband, back up and run him over again.....  whatever it takes.

    • Sending books or a magazine does it for one of my freinds and another I have to have that listening ear then move on to somethingelse that is not so heavy and she really relaxes and then the laughter comes back I know we made some progress and time to move on.

    • If in town, I would bring dinner or flowers or invite her out.  Out of town, I would call or send a book or card.
