This is a Q that was inspired by Brimstone’s Q yesterday about Goodwill...
What is the Best Deal/Find you ever got at a Yardsale or 2nd hand/consignment shop??
Last summer I found this gorgeous chair at a resale shop for $60.00.

I got a collectible plate at a garage sale once. It was about 80 yrs old and I paid 10 cents for it. I turned around and sold it for $10. That’s one awesome mark-up! I’d still be in the second-hand/antique business if I could make that kind of profit all the time!

I don’t usually shop those ( I’m the one you drag along when no one else is free) because I don’t have the patience to sift. I want what I want when I want.
Now if I don’t know what I want and I find it at one of those places then bonus for me and especially for the person who dragged me along. They then get the distinct honor of saying ” see I told you so”

Thanks for sharing everyone... I get some great deals here & there but can’t think of anything specifically. The only one I can think of is Three Huge doll houses I got my daughters when they were young for $20 (will all the accessories they could ever want, dolls & furniture). Later I found out each doll house (without accessories) was like $50 new.
Later I sold them at my yard sale for more than 4 times what I paid.

Two gold chains for 25 cents each.
Two Thomas Kincade prints for $2.00
Back in my thrift store days I found quality name brands for $1.00 or less (if I went in when they had a tag sale) Most were brand new, with tags still attached....and here is a bad shameonme confession...I took the items to the store where they had been bought and got “my” money back. I was young and stupid, no longer do that...and stores don’t give money back anymore...probably because I wasn’t the only one doing that. Yes, SHAME ON ME
Hubbie and I went to a garage sale two years ago and wanted to purchase a real wood chest of draws but the husband was getting frustrated because he could not get the last draw open and so the wife said just give them for free. They were leaving town. Hubbie got home and straighten out the middle piece that helps it to glide along. That is all it needed and we got our fully wood chest of draws.
Thanks Eva, Mystical and Brimstone if you go to the group here: My Favorite Things you will see a few other finds that I've gotten at a great deal and I do mean deal lol.
