    • I have been reading my news online both the newspapers and the major networks.  I am so tired of listening what supposed to be the news and the non stop commenting.  Sometimes listening the news is like listening to one of the daytime talk shows.  An issue is brought forward and then a whole heap of comments afterwards.  Half the time the comments distort what really was said.  I feel like they are insulting my intellegence, just give me the news I can decide for myself.  It is all about RATINGS not news anymore.  I will stick to the news online at least I have the option of viewing the comments or not.

    • What a great question....

I avoid the news for the most part because so much of it is negative.  If it is something that is important I will research as many resources as possible to get as many view points and angles to ‘try’ to decipher what the truth is.

So much of what is on TV it is opinion or at the very least there are a lot of hidden agendas with very slanted presentations and distorted truths.  We get what certain groups want us to hear no more no less.

Online might offer more accurate to some degree but then it is often difficult to tell which are truth as well.

I do agree with the insulting our intelligence but then not everyone seems to care and that is why they get buy with it.  So many people just want what is easy and so what they are told is what ends up being their truth.

    • NPR and that’s about it.

I never watch the news on television, it’s too biased for my taste and it’s all doom and gloom, never any good news.

For more local news, I just have coffee with the elders.  They‘re always glad to tell a youngster what’s going on in the state, county or town or what they just read in the newspaper.
