    • We are having our Easter celebration on Saturday night.  It has sort of become a tradition for us the last few years.  On Sunday everyone is going to their own church services and my kids have the other side of the family to go to.  So we started doing a Saturday night thing.

My daughter is having at her house this year, because she has the most room.  She’s doing meat of some sort and told me that I am making scalloped potatoes and also lemon meringue pie.  Don’t know what anyone else is bringing.

    • I am still formulating what I am cooking, most likely lamb, corn pudding, two spring vegatables, yeast rolls or monket bread and a dessert something like tiramisu or mini cakes, or cup cakes with a nice wine.

    • We have invited close friends of ours to share the day, and I am making a ham (possibly in our smoker), macaroni and cheese, green bean casserole, baked yams, deviled eggs and my GF is bringing a greek salad and a dessert.

Our Easter tradition has changed over the years, since we always went to my in-laws for Easter...but now we are the ones inviting friends and it is a nice change...maybe, our son may invite some friends too!

    • I always hide my daughter’s Easter basket and a couple of plastic eggs with money for her to find.  Since we’ve become vegetarian, food is not so special anymore, but will try out a recipe for coffee cake that looks good.

    • Well since this is the first ‘holiday’ my husband has been home for in a year & a half I thought I would make a nice Easter dinner with some extras that I might normally only make for Christmas (he missed two of those).

My teens daughters still love to color eggs and go egg hunting for the ones with candy and/or money in them.  They also still get baskets with a couple of small gifts. estatic

    • This Easter we will be celebrating by ourselves.  We will go to church in the morning and we will have an Egg Hunt for our two boys.  I want to go out to dinner since we rarely do but my husband wants to make a dinner so not quite sure what we will be doing yet!

    • Oooh Kmarie & Mary your dinner’s sound terrific!  Not sure if we are going to sunrise services this year.  They have sunrise service every year where we live on the water.  It’s really pretty but I like the church we attend so....not sure.  Hubby will probably want to go to his mother’s but I’d like if she’d come to our house this year.
