    • heart yes. We use to go to a black tie affair every new years eve but I’ve stopped the last two. I’ve also worn formal wear to two art exhibits that previewed before opening date here in L.A.
I use to love it. On July 17th I will be required to wear formal again but it’s been awhile so I’m sorta looking forward to it.

In the past, whenever I had the occasion, I would wear formal for I bought a few of them when they were on sales.

    • Eva,

They are not my cup of tea either! However, in 2006 (though my usuall attire was hair in ponytils with bandanna, Kung Fu pants, KF T-shirt and KF Shoes).

I bought a floor length, beautiful strapless gown and attended the Martial Arts Museum Event where my Lovely Teacher (self “adopted” Chinese Mom)was inducted into the Martial Arts Hall of Fame.

I had the most wonderful time!.

The funny thing is several of my cohorts did not recognize me, nor I them for a brief moment! LOL one Well known teacher said “Tammy? Wow, you clean up nice“! LOL

    • No, those sort of events just don’t go on in my corner of the world.

I do however have a beautiful long dress hanging in the closet—just in case.  Actually it’s one of my daughters’ old prom dresses, but it looks sensational on me.

    • My second wedding dress was actually a formal dress.  Other than that, I’m not into the formal dresses at all.  I prefer cocktail dresses.  Really I prefer jeans!
