Did you hear? Osama Bin Laden was killed! The U.S. apparently has secured his body. Been waiting to hear that since September 11, 2001. Don’t know who killed him but I’d like to shake his hand! It doesn’t mean Al Qaeda is through, but their main dictator is gone. I don’t think there can be anyone as powerful as he was.
I very proud of the Navy Seals, from Richmond the CIA and the Commander-In-Chief for pulling off this operation. It was a brillantly executed plan and we did not lose one American in the process.
I’ve been reading conflicting reports. One said he was killed a week ago and another said years ago. Either way it is good other than if he was killed years ago why wait till now?

The President just spoke. They found out where he was hiding in Pakistan last week and he sent for CIA/Military special ops to go in there today and take care of business. His body is in U.S. custody. If he was killed years ago, there wouldn’t be a body to put in custody.
I am thrilled....Adolf Hitler announced dead May 1, 1945...Osama bin Laden...May 1, 2011....

This is great news...but we can never let our guard down. In fact I would think we need to beef up our security. There may be retaliation for his death....
I have read his body has been dumped at sea - all different reports ......
I wonder now if the UK will cease giving economic aide to Pakistan ...... as they must have known he was there.

Vicki...watching ABC news now and they are stating his body has been buried at sea to follow Islamic law ...customs..or whatever they do. I too agree there will be a backlash.
Aide definitely needs to be cut off to Pakistan....
Fort Gordon where I live has increased it’s security.
Savannah River Site (nuclear facility) - have not heard if their security has been increased....

I did hear of this last night. I guess we’ll find out what exactly happened in a day or so? Because they didn’t seem to have exact details, the most important one was that there was finally an end to Bin Laden’s reign of terror. Now to wait and see how this effects the rest of the world and I hope it’s not tragic.
I have to admit I wasn’t happy that they had to run this Special Report so long that all of Desperate Housewives didn’t air. sigh.... I dislike Special Reports that drone on and on with speculation instead of facts.

I heard he was buried at sea too. I wondered why so quickly??? Seem’s they were 110% sure of his identity really quick. Said they did facial comparisons, etc.
I’m glad they finally got him, but I too wonder if there won’t be retaliation by other Al Qida groups.

I just read in the news that they did have DNA and also that Muslims believe in being burried one day after passing. Well call it tacky, but IMO, I don’t believe HE would know it was longer than one day!
From what I understand as well...having a body around for others to praise and put up as a martyr is another reason...but the islamic custom is the main reason.

I have never celebrated the killing of anyone before last night, and I was relieved to see all the people outside the White House, in Times Square & Ground Zero in NYC. I wished they had thrown him alive into shark infested waters wearing a meat suit. He got off easy with a shot to the head. And the human shield? She was his wife trying to protect him. I don’t think there’s a hell in Islam, but I hope wherever he goes, he suffers the agony of dying a thousand times over.
I’m glad they didn’t take him alive...who wants to deal with that piece of crap any longer? His followers will be enough to deal with.
I hope and pray there is not any backlash but I’m afraid there will be...I hope I’m wrong.
