    • Joe won’t go to the doc either. But he gets very quiet and tries to be very macho when he’s sick. Unfortunately then he gets short tempered. I wish he would just say he feels like crap and  let me do something nice for him. I guess I have to read his mind!

    • Mine isn’t.  He just sort of pulls into himself and shuts the world out when he’s not feeling well.  Needless to say, since his last back surgery, I’ve been living with an uncomuncative self absorbed jerk.  Luckily, he expects little from me.

    • Mine of course is very sick right now.  He is currently in the hospital now with a very serious staph infection from his surgery he had on May12th.  I will have to say through all of this he has been very reasonable and has done everything I’ve told him to do.  He has not been ugly to me or short with me except when we came into the ER and he was in so much pain from the infection. But when we are dealing with less serious issues such as a cold, virus..etc...he’s a BIG BABY...and his case is always worse than mine...that alone drives me insane.  I get to a point that I just leave the room..or the house to get a break from it.

    • I am in the minority. When my SO is sick, he won’t tell me for fear I will disinfect the entire house. I do not have time to be sick.

    • Fortunately my husband goes to the Dr. on a regular basis for his check ups and is really good when he’s sick.  He’ll still get up and piddle around the house! He can’t stand to be doing nothing.  Go figure......

    • Mary, so sorry to hear of your hub having the infection..my neighbor contracted a staph infection from being in the hospital and then had to be re-treated for that..I read the recent post and glad he is home now.

Luckily, my hub is not a baby..he is like Tulip’s hub..he becomes withdrawn and stays in the man cave until he feels better.  He has even slept in his recliner because he says it is more comfortable than the bed..and he will call the doctor.
Part of it is also because of my Fibro, he does not expect more than I can handle..what a guy!heart
