I am making my plans for my inexpensive kitchen redo. My ceilings are the popcorn crapola and I want to cover them since I will be taking down 1 cupboard.
Which do you think will look better on the ceiling: Stamped Tin or Bead Board?
I am redoing my laundry room as the guinea pig......

@Vikki, not too sure what bead board is but I know my hubby knows and I should too, but I’m not sure lol, but I have always loved the tin ceilings man when I do buy my home I will be considering using it somewhere lol. Best of luck to you on your improvements.![]()
"As you open the door to new relationships and remove the chain from your own fears, God will overwhelm you with new splendor."
My other thought is to use the beadboard in the breakfast area as shown in the pic with the tin ceiling.
Cost:
Beadboard $22 sheet may need 6 sheets to do entire kitchen and breakfast area
Tin $19 sheet and would need about 50 or so
If the rustoleum cabinet redo stuff works good then I will save significantly on cabinets.

Vikki, I don’t know if you’ve been down to the home improvement store yet...but they sell a product that has the look of tin but is actually some sort of plastic maybe? We used it as a backsplash in our kitchen and it looks just like your photo above. It comes in a copper look, silver and maybe another sort of metallic finish. I don’t know if you could use it on the ceiling but it’s worth a look. It was a little less expensive than real tin and much easier to work with.
I like both...but just keep in mind..the expense..and if you decide down the road you want to change it..will be inexpensive enough to change.
I personally love bead board. I had my bathroom cabinets made with that look.
Bead board reminds of a cottage feel or a beachy feel...and it’s less expensive.
And if you go with the tin...I would use a wood wide molding...
I love the tin ceiling for an old old look, but I think the bead board has a good look to it as well and it seems like it would making covering the popcorn crapola much easier and less messy. 2 people with nail guns could whip it up in no time! And it’d cost you less.

I like the bead board the best. If I recall from your pis your house is pretty modern so myself I’d go with the bead board. We have several friends who have cedar ceilings and they are so beautiful! Let us know what you decide to go with!
Ooops sorry about that, I mean't type "PIC'S"...... LOL. Whew, glad I caught that girl! LOL
