How do i help my grandson thru their parents divorce and family drama, they are seeing their parents at their worst, any suggestions for me
Yep!
Don’t focus on the negative, Don’t bad talk either parents actions, reassure them that you love them, keep to normal activities and a regular routine.
And above all else remind the parents that their actions WILL have an impact on their children.
Divorce does not have to be a bad thing. It’s only bad when it’s handled poorly.
Vikki said it well. I’ll also offer a little piece of wisdom that came from my 15 yr old daughter after her dad and I divorced and she was advising an older girl whose parents were divorcing. She said, “You don’t have to like what they are doing, but they are still your parents so you can still love them both.”
And remember too, time heals. It’s a tough time right now, but it will get better.

My parents divorced when I was 12 and should have divorced earlier. But they said they stayed until I got older. When I was older I told them they didn’t do me any favors by staying together.
Children will duplicate their relationships after their parents. So I say a ggod divorce is a whole lot better than a bad marriage!!!
