Just wondering what you all did for the weekend? Anything fun?
Phil and I went to Kulak’s Woodshed; a musicians storefront where no alcohol is served and the participants are local talent to grammy winners. They broadcast weekly. We saw Severin - Brown his brother is Jackson Brown... Anyway it was very relaxing and just plain ole nice people... check out the website if you like sometime they have live webcasts... I might be playing there one day : )
We went swimming and spent the day at the lake, i loved it. Took the granddaughter swimming for the first time, what a wonderful day. I love going to music shows though, We are living in Nashville now and they have such great shows here, cant wait to go to some of them.
Went to the Apollo Theater to see one of my co-workers in his debut at their inaugural Music Cafe, taking my best friend for her birthday and my handsome sidekick for protection (LOL). Saw a couple of coworkers in the audience and just waved at them. We had a fantastic time, and my friend was absolutely amazing on stage.
Had to work today and it was a long hard day. Been just relaxing since I got home.
I’m going to go get my chickens tomorrow. Four little egg layers. Can’t wait!
Tulip
Tulip, I loved having chickens. I fed a group of wild ones a few years ago and had eggs galore! My husband put the kabosh (sp?) on that because they made a mess.
Enjoy those wonderful eggs!
msj - that sounds like a great club, especially since they serve no alcohol. I like that!
kyah - what a fun time you had
Tracy - these are beautiful memories you‘re making with your grandchild.
eva - no errands works for me
I puttered around the house and made a work space for me for when school starts. I did some laundry, bought a couple of cute scrubs (as if there is such a thing), went to Costco to order a canvas print for a gift and now we’ve got a chicken on the rotisserie and I’m making artichokes.
Tammy- I’ve never heard Severin Browne, but I’ve seen Jackson Browne many times and love him! Tonight I saw Woody Allen’s new movie “Midnight at Paris“. Loved the scenery!
I did some light cleaning...went and got my dogs Winston and Jack a plastic pool for them to get in and sat outside on my deck and relaxed. Can’t really do a whole lot w/hubby being sick.
@ Cynthia, yes we had a great time and I’m hoping this is the start of something big for my coworker, because he’s so talented and the world needs to see him do his thing! I want to be able to say I knew him when!

Severin Browne was the first non black person to sign with Motown! I believe it ws in the 70’s...You should check him out! AMAZING and he is so down to earth. The entire groups is just chill, kick back and funny! If you look him up, you must listen the the song he wrote “My love Mo Betta” It is awesome!
I really enjoyed reading the posts!
