Looking at my hubby place the trainer wheels on my g-baby’s bike I was wondering how old were you if you can remember when you learned to ride a two wheeled bicycle?

    • 11. Went from tricycle to the back seat of the car for several years and finally the 3 speed bike. Learned to ride down the alley behind our house. Also where I fell off my brother’s Harley and came into the house covered Afro to sneaker in dirt. Grandma said if I ride another motorcycle as long as she’s alive, she’d disown me. Heh, been on several, just not as powerful as that one was. She never knew either.

    • I think I was in the first grade when I learned to ride with out training wheels.

Do not care for motorcycles...and will probably never ride one.  I won’t say never...but more than likely I won’t.

    • My tricycle got stolen when I was a little girl and I never had a bike after that until after I got married.  I didn’t learn how to ride a bike until my late 20s.  frown  My husband taught me in our backyard.

    • I was in kindergarten, or possibly the summer between kindergarten and first grade.  I took quite a few spills, but I went in the house one day and told mom I wanted my training wheels taken off.

    • This reminds me of one of my favorite stories about my daughtere Gracie.  “Gracie, what do you want for your birthday?”   “Tools.”
Alrighty then, another mechanic in the family.  I got her a cheap set of wrenches and a pliers for her fifth birthday.....all she wanted to do was take the training wheels off her bike- which she did herself and promptly lost most of her tools.

    • I don’t remember what age I learned to ride a bike, but I didn’t have my own 2 wheeler until I was 10. Broke my heart when it was stolen.

    • I was five years old...went from my tricycle to a banana seat bike with training wheels.  One day told my mom, “Hey, the big kids don’t have training wheels, I want to be like them.”  That’s all it took.happy
