I say it doesn’t matter if the other person is male/female. If you are fooling around with someone that is not the person you are romantically involved with - it’s cheating.
My hubby says, “If it makes your wife mad, it’s cheating!”
I think Mamapan’s husband has the right idea. If it makes your spouse mad, then you shouldn’t be doing it.

I agree with your hubby Mamapan!
"As you open the door to new relationships and remove the chain from your own fears, God will overwhelm you with new splendor."
I felt cheated on when the X had long phone conversations with other women, and once I got so mad I said loud enough for her to hear, “Tell her to find her own husband!” and she stopped calling him. The X didn’t see it as cheating, I did.

Mamapan, your hub is a smart man!
My thinking is WHATEVER a man or woman does that promotes indecent behavior with a member of the opposite sex, that is cheating...long phone conversation, texting, e-mailing, cards in the mail, dirty pics, flirting (yes, that is opening up a can of worms)..it all means that one of the spouses is not happy and needs to examine their conscience.
Yes, Melissa, I guess it does mean the man would rather scrap the current relationship to start over elsewhere to avoid working on the the current relationship. My guess is there’s more than one reason for it, but I don’t think we women should tolerate this behavior and not find out what his reason for it is.
