I’m not sure. I’ve raised my daughters to be extremely independent. So independent in fact that I don’t know if they’ll ever have room for a full time man in their life. Was that good advice I gave them?

I would have to say that most of the advice i’ve received from my parents has served me well and i have definitely shared it with my children.
I haven’t shared all the advice my parents gave me with my kids. Yes, I sometimes open my mouth and hear my moms voice come out...but I am raising my children differently in many ways. My parents were determined that we wouldn’t be arrogant, and they sometimes took that goal to the extreme. I think my job is to give my children confidence and security, as the world will knock them down enough. I tell them on a daily basis that I love them, I am proud of them, and I’m blessed to be their mother. I didn’t have that growing up - I wish I would have.
I give my son the same advice that my mom shared with me, but since he is a young man, his dad and I have added other points.
