I worked for a lady who had braces in her late 50's. She had them for two or three years (her teeth were already almost perefectly straight). I could see no point. Unless your teeth are really horribly crooked, I couldn't see putting yourself thru the pain at this stage in life.

I thought about it in my 50’s but with so many dental problems, I never got to do it. My teeth are not perfect or horribly crooked and since they don’t scare little children, I’m not going to spend the money on it. If it will boost your self confidence, go for it. One of the purposes of having braces is so the upper and lower teeth line up.
