I have endured these crises for years and i’m nearing the end of my rope.  A friend once said this to me...“Lack of organization on your part does not constitute and emergency on my part“.  I have recently decided to adopt this as my new mantra.

    • Hmmmm, we can only change one?
It’s a toss up between improving my husband’s health or improving my son’s stupidity.

I suppose if hubby was healed up and able bodied he could beat some sense into that boy.

    • I think it would be my husband’s relationships with our boys.  Without going into the details...as the boys have grown their tolerance of their dad...and their dad’s tolerance of the boys has become an issue.  It’s not the worst relationship and they all love each other to death...but more of personality conflicts.  I personally think it’s sad to be that way and I’ve told them as much.  I wish that was all better....

Mary, I think personality conflicts between dads and sons are pretty common.  I know my brother and my dad probably haven’t talked in a couple years. Not that they hate each other, they just have nothing to say.  My hubby and his son are the same way, lots of personality conflict (or too much alike?) when the boy was younger.  Now, very little communication. Sad and hard on we women in their lives.

    • Hmmmmmmmmmm............

It could be that my daughter Kylie lived here NEAR me vs in 750 miles away.

      Or that......

My sister was in a better place in life.

      Or that......

Megan and Garrett would both move out yet still live near.

    • Sadly, it’s my relationship with my mother. She refuses to listen to her doctor and family about taking better care of her health. She only sees the negatives in people.

    • That my sister lived closer, that my parents lived closer, that I could live in an area that really suits me, that I could really have a trust-worthy and dependable friend and not just some acquaintances, that my health was not an issue, that our son could not only have a wonderful job, but a sweet girl comes into his life...and the list goes on.

    • I suppose it would be owning a home in general. I’ve been a renter for all of my adult life, and it would be nice to have a place I could call all mine to do with whatever I please.
