Stuck to my convictions (no matter how hard it was to not give in) with what I believed my son to be capable of, and in pushing him to do for himself for once.
As a result, he has achieved many of his goals and I have had some of the proudest moments of my life as a parent.
It doesn’t get much better than that!
Found Fab40 by mistake,

Got addicted to Fab40.![]()
That’s the best I did to myself this year!
Best thing I did for myself was to allow myself to recuperate from several years of family health issues, problems etc.
2009 is going to be the year I really do some major things for me.
Doreen: learning to say “NO” can be the most liberating, life saving thing you could ever do for yourself. I had to learn how to do it too.
BB - good for you! The shot was discussed on the morning tv show The Doctors and I thought about you.
The two who were on the show said it was THE BEST - LOL.
Opened Shiloh Home of Hope for Women!

I learned to stand up for myself. I cleaned out all the people that hurt me. I told all the people that mean the most, thanks for being in my life.
Thank you, Mary Clark! I can’t wait to see what ‘09 holds!

I too learned the importance of being me.
And those who stood or stand in my way have to
go. I will serve me first which enables me to serve
others better. I am resource for sharing “Hope”
It’s been a passion for me forever. It’s only thru
self awareness of who I am, what matters to me,
And how diligent I will be that will produce the desired
results..
Here’s to breaking free in 2009!
Had life-changing back surgery. I suffered with low back pain for over 4 years with no relief, no matter what i tried (to include personal trainer, chiropractic therapy, physical therapy, traction therapy, massage therapy, oxycontin, cyclobenzaprene...).
I have never had any kind of surgery and was terrified of it until i reached the point where my quality of life was near zero. When i went to a doctor who FINALLY discovered the reason for my back pain, i was overcome and willing to do whatever i needed to do to get better.
To date, i consider myself to be about ninety percent better. I’ll take it!
Allowed myself to be me. Gave up my martyr complex, committed to finding my Perfect Body Shape again - and I did - 40 lbs lighter, and have my high school figure back (minus my boobs LOL), started wearing make-up again because *I* like to even if my husband doesn’t care, bought myself not one, but three horses, and am reliving the dreams of my childhood including going to a clinic to further my Parelli natural horsemanship skills. Wow - 2008 was a huge year for me, and 2009 is going to be better. Now that I have ‘me’ situated, I can focus on really helping others which is my life calling. 2009 is our year to Shine!

Oh Cindy, that sounds like fun! I have done seminars locally but never travelled far (Auburn AL has been the farthest I have gone to speak.) Emporia - do we need to set a goal, and write it down?
Hey girlfriend, if you are willing so am I! Let’s pm about this and see what we can come up with!
