    • It was sad yet the best - My 95 yrs. old grandma who raised me died on 8/18/2008 this year.  I flew to Hong Kong and I was at her dead bed.  She was surrounded by family - her son & his wife (my uncle and aunt), her daughter (my mother), her grand family (my brother & his wife & me), her great grandchildren (my brother’s kids).  We were all kneeling around her bed, praying the Rosary.  She had a cross in one hand, a rosary the other, a picture of Jesus above her head, a picture of Mary on the foot of the bed.  It was closed to Midnight, we prayed quietly for there were other patients in the ward.  Tears were streaming yet not a big noise sobbing.  It was very peaceful.  She slipped away quietly.  Then Sr. Maria came and sang the most beautiful Hail Mary in Chinese softly - like an angel sending her spirit away.  How Sr. told me, “if she could just die the way my grandma would, it was so graced!”  Later, Sr. told me, she smelled a nice fragrance while she was singing - how consoling.

So a sad moment yet the best for me, strange.

    • Don’t remember the date, but it was the day I quit my job.  Actually I’ve got about three part time jobs, but I quit the lowest paying most stressful job.  I gave four weeks notice.  Even though I had to work another four weeks, it felt as though a huge weight had been lifted from my shoulders!

    • I can’t pinpoint 1 day as being the best. I had so much going on this year.
I can say however that I am looking forwards to 2009 and all the opportunities it will bring.
