Does your hair seem to grow faster on top than the lower part of your head? or am I just imagining it?
Your hair grows evenly throughout. I think we just notice the top more.

Mary why and how are you dealing with this - is it a side effect of the bypass
VICKI....It is a side effect! I need to increase my daily protein. I’m suppose to get in 65grams of protein a day. Heck I didn’t get that much in before the surgery but now that I don’t absorb like I use to...protein is essential. Protein drinks...are what I’m suppose to get in daily and I struggle with it. My doctor says that if I will increase it my hair won’t fall out as much. I’m giving it one more month and if it doesn’t get any better then I’m cutting it all off...very very short. THANK GOD...I had a lot to begin with so I could afford to lose it but it’s gotten very thin. When I wear it down it looks crappy and stringy to me. So I constantly wear it in a ponytail. I’m also taking “biotin“..which helps with hair growth. I’m not happy about it but the weight loss still outweighs the hair loss for me. Heck...if I have to...I’ll get a dang wig. LOL
Gravity is working hardest against the hair on the top of your head if you‘re trying to have any lift. That is why it seems to grow faster up top!
My hair grows pretty fast length wise but my grey hair comes in faster on top.
My hair is like Frannie’s. Strands of grey hair is popping up on top and I need a haircut.
