    • why don’t you do a theme and make the food accordingly so maybe French night or Italian night ......

    • I hosted dinner with the theme of, “You‘re Nacho Young anymore“.  It was for my 40th bday and the food was all Mexican.  Very yummy!

    • With it being August in Michigan, I’d take the weather into consideration. I like the idea of a theme for the food but may want to include some lightened up versions, icy cocktails and some cold fresh fruit, a chilled soup like gazpacho and a side salad of some type.

      Can I come?estatic

    • Sushi!  It’s wonderful during the hot months!  If you stick with more mainstream sushi (veggie, shrimp, crab) as opposed to sashimi (raw eel, etc) people will be more willing to give it a try if it’s something they haven’t tried before.

I’m not a fan of martinis but there is such a wide variety of flavors, perhaps offering a martini-making course?

    • I like the idea of a salad as Cynthia mentioned, how about setting up a salad bar which can include some new and unusual foods, or a Spanish tapas food selection.

and how about besides the mixed drinks or wine, try the new MIO liquid water enhancers which come in a variety of flavors and would be perfect for the non-drinkers and also can be used as flavored spritzers with a shot of liquor in it.estatic

Wish I could be there too!estatic

    • I would probably serve cold dishes...you never can go wrong with a 7 layered salad or pasta dishes. Have FUN
