    • Both my mom and my sister have experienced thinning hair and now I’m noticing mine is coming out more than it used to. I have really thick hair to start with so I’m ok with it like this but if it continues it will be a problem. I’ve been taking biotin which seems to help.

      Anyone else?

    • Kyah if yours is just from breakage you can use protein treatments to help repair and strengthen.

    • I haven’t noticed any thinning- yet.  But my mother and my aunt both still have very thick hair in their 70’s so maybe I have really good hair genes.

    • My hair has always been thick and I’m losing some, but the volume is still there. A few strands of gray are sticking out.

    • Cynthia...since my weight loss surgery...I’ve lost a good bit of my hair. Thank God I had some I could afford to give up but now it’s really starting to bother me.  Mine has become very thin around my face.  I’m taking Biotin too.  I can’t really tell yet at this point if it’s helping but this is a side effect to weight loss surgery.  Also when you lose a good bit of weight like we both have it’s bound to happen plus...my doctor says I have to get in more protein.  He says if I will get more protein in that I won’t lose my hair.  So try drinking some protein drinks each day.  For me I have to get in 65 grams of protein a day.  So if you drink two protein drinks with 25 grams of protein in each and get the rest from your food you will do better.  For me...it’s hard for me to drink all that protein drink.  I’ve got to do better or I’m going to be bald by Christmas.  LOL

    • Not yet, but I did notice lots of shedding when I pulled my hair back, like in this picture.  So now I’m leaving it out more.  I’m afraid my hairline will recede.

    • OMG this is me!
when I was a child my grandma was a beautician. She cut my hair short and said it would come back in thicker. It did get better,(till now). I’m the only one in my family with this problem. My dad had a receding hairline and now I do too! I have noticed up till this year that I shed more in the summer and less in winter. But now I’m shedding huge amounts in the summer and maybe a little less in winter. Has anyone tried the shampoos for hair loss? My hair is short so pulling it back isn’t the cause.  Let me know if any of you find help, Connie
