I am in a dilemma right now..nothing serious at all, but weighing on my mind..I have had a cordial friendly relationship with my hair stylist for 20 years. We know each other well, but don’t socialize outside the salon. She is currently looking for full-time work and therefore her hours may not be flexible anymore. How do I go about mentioning to her not to worry about me anymore because I can find a new stylist? I actually have someone in mind and she has not even made a definite appt. for me this month as I am due, but tells me to call her and she will let me know. Any suggestions?
If it’s left open ended like that, just don’t call for an appointment. It sounds to me like she’s letting YOU down easy.

I agree with Tulip, just say to her that you have infact found someone else to do your hair, honesty is the best policy.

I know how you feel Mary. I have been going to the same hair dresser for a few years now, not as long as you have but I feel each time I go to her, she spends less and less time with me. I mean the salon she works at is walk In only, no appointments. So I make it a point to get there early as they are opening so i can be basically the first one. Well for the past couple of times I feel like I was being rushed out of there. It starts to get busy and it’s like she rushes my hair job to get to the others. I just been thinking of going to someone new who I can I actually make an appt with. But then I feel guilty.
Anyway I’m rambling.. good luck
