Have you ever worked someplace that is going out of business? Closing forever?
No I haven’t! However the 3 jobs I have had have closed locations. Which is what I just got done doing........

Yes and it was a hassle to get the last check, but thankfully I got it.
Yes and they offered us 6 weeks extra pay to stay until the bitter end. It wasn’t worth it though.
Well, I’m not worried about getting my last check. I know that will come thru.
It’s just a weird awful feeling watching the freezer and storeroom get a little emptier every day and knowing it’s not going to be restocked. Sad. I’ve put about 9 years into that place.
I volunteered to go down with the ship, because I’m a procrastinator when it comes to finding a new job. I’ll hang in there to the bitter end, but..... it’s just leaving me very sad a lot of days.

No, but I worked for a branch of an insurance company that closed. The company is still in business though. I got out before they started laying people off.
I worked for a company that was sold and that was not a whole lot of fun as you still had customers that you had to tell but watch words ar the same time.
i worked for another company that changed general managers and he wanted his own team so managers including me lost job
I just went to an auction tonight, the last remains of a business that has been continuously in business since 1954. Everything was sold down to the bare walls as the building will be bulldozed next month. Saw more than one employee of the business sort of wandering around looking a bit shell shocked. Had to be very hard to watch.
