    • I live in a town that has an established barter exchange system.   I worked 15 years ago for a company  that participated in it. You would sign up and then when you helped others you would get credit for it so you could use it for what other services you needed if they  also  participated.

    • Thanks for your response Yashis. We don’t have a barter system in my town. I am thinking about  asking family, friends and others if they are interested in  doing an exchange of services.

This would be an excellent way to create a sense of community, save money and use our talents and skills.

    • Being in the Hair Industry there has always been bartering with that.

So I know if my life I have done alot of hair and was given things in return. There was one time I had a plumbing issue and I knew the plumber. I didn’t expect a freebie but he was willing to fix my issue in exchange for haircuts for him and his family (wife and 3 kids). I gladly did it!

    • @Vikki I’ll do that Vikki! Already, I’ve contacted 2 people and there seems to be an interest in the idea. I’m getting excited, as I look for projects to keep my mind and body active. I retired to refire!
