    • Gosh, that’s a really good question and you bring up some great points. Thing is, some people don’t check their e-mail all the time so they may miss the invite. Phone calls still seem to be more personal. God know the post office could use the dollars for the postage in a snail mail invite. Facebook seems to be too public to me. I’m a little creeped out with the lack of privacy there.

I don’t know about you, Diane, but are you missing simpler times?estatic

    • It depends on the event and who I’m inviting.  I did most of my parent’s 50th anniversary on facebook, because most of the people I needed to invite are on there regularly.

    • Whatever way the invitees can be reached is the best way. For me, an invitation via snail mail is personal and so reminescent of simpler times that I choose to go this route.  As I enjoy personalizing/making cards, I get double the enjoyment when sending invitations. From the compliments I receive, people enjoy the personal touch.

    • If I was doing it through FB I would create a closed group and add the invitees to it so it wouldn’t be so public. Other that, that I would go by the type of event on decided which way to go, if it’s a casual get together and I see all these people on FB then I would use that or Evite, something more formal I would use personalized invites thru snail mail.

    • It depends on the event. Formal events I would send snail mail and then send out electronic reminders. Other events I would send what the group I am approaching is most likely to respond too, usually a combination. Phone calls I am least likely to do because there is not visual reminder for people. They have to remember on their own

    • I would send invites through the mail as I have done for so many years, it keeps the post office in business and many people still love to receive something in their mailbox.happy
