Several reasons, no one has just one answer to this question, and it also depends on what is going on in the relationship at the time of the cheating it could be insecurity issues, non attraction to the person their with, distrust, no respect, lust, feeling shame unable to perform to their mates standards, selfishness, low self esteem etc... too many to name.
Better question would be why do people cheat....cheating ins’t something only men do.

Not sure, hub never cheated on me nor I on him...many reasons I guess.
They‘re unhappy with themselves - they think they want/need or deserve more...they want the “rush” of being with someone new again...they want to feel like they still have it...they get bored...
All the same reasons women cheat
We may never truly know the answer to that question. Men cheat on beautiful women and not so beautiful women. Look at Halle Berry and Eric Benet. It doesn’t matter if you are sexually active with a man and his “freak” they will still stray to others. I think men who cheat have low self esteem issues and past relationship issues that they have not learned to deal with. Unfortunately, there is nothing we can do about it. My past excperience has shown me that once a cheater, always a cheater....
