    • I have 1 doggie and he has open access to the place he is very well trained and unfortunately because of mine and hubby’s work schedule he is home alone for about 8 hours, we either leave the radio or the TV on so he can have some sound and not feel so deserted and he has plenty of food and water at his leisure.

    • Stoloi is spoiled. He is glued next to me and when I need to leave the house he looks at me with the eyes that beg me not to leave, so I always rush home. happy

Yesterday he was alone for 2 hours, when I came home it was a reunion of the century.

I swear, never, never, ever, is anyone as happy to see me as my little mutt.

    • Our kitty is home all day alone and I usually find him asleep in the closet when I return. He’s happy to see me and hangs around my feet for about half an hour before he heads outside. I don’t like him outside when we‘re not home. I’m afraid of stray dogs coming into the yard so I get him in before we leave.

    • I have 3 Burmese cats, which are interactive, attention-craving kitties. Thankfully, I’ve been able to work at home most of the time so haven’t had to leave them alone all day for too many days - usually only for meetings or onsite events.

    • I work at home so my dogs are never alone. If I do leave out for a little while, they act as if I have been gone for days when I come back in.

    • It used to be the dogs were on their own for at least 8 hours a day.  Now  things have changed a bit since we are leaving all three in the yard together and everyone works different shifts, so everything is sort of chaotic for now.

When I was on the farm, sometimes the dogs would be fending for themselves for several days at a time. There was always feed and water. They didn’t mind.

    • My doggy is alone for about 6 hours & is on his tether (since used to like destroying the house when we were away).  We have a flap on the garage door so he can go in during bad weather & he has a carpet scrap to lie on & be cozy.  He’s starting to be able to be left indoors for a few hous now though

    • About 5 to 6 hours on a work day. I get home early and then when I do go into work odd hours, hubbys always home with them. Or when he’s at work, I’m home with them. They are use to our Scheduleshappy Our dog is pretty well behaved when left indoors And the cat loves to be outdoors. I don’t have to worry about her cause she stays inside the gate. She won’t go anywhere without Lex(our dog) But each time one of us comes home, they are always happy to see usestaticheart as we are happy to see them at the end of a work day.
