    • I redo mine every year.

      Pointers are:

      Be clear and concise
You only need to list your last 3 jobs
Find other words to describe what you do, ex: specialty boutique would be a better choice of word for my experience vs haircare retailer

    • Thanks for the tips.
I’ve already filled out the job application for this particular job.  I’ve already visited briefly with the guy who will be doing the hiring, but I still have to submit a resume online.  Guess that will be my project for tomorrow.

    • These are all good tips.  I would also suggest monster.com  They seem to have quite a bit of advice.  Good Luck TulipLady on your job search.  I just updated mine too.

    • I have more than one resume; one where I just list the job titles, dates, and companies, and another one where I’m listing all the above as well as job responsibilities. I list my email address, but I also list my LinkedIn address. I also list my computer proficiency. Last line is ‘references available upon request.’ I removed the “objective” because my objective is basically to get a job!

    • 1-remember, you‘re selling a product:  you!
2-translate what you did on a job into usable skills for the next job
      3-spellcheck AND proofread
