    • I personally think it’s just a way of trying to ruin his chances since he’s doing so well in the polls.  He’s getting hit from all sides because the opposition is worried.  Right now...if I voted today...Mr Cain would get my vote!! If he can fix this economy and put money back in people’s pockets..and get folks back to working...all of that so call crap doesn’t matter.  Just my opinion...happy

    • I’m of the opinion that there is likely SOME truth to the allegations.  I’m also of the opinion that a person has to be crazy to put him/herself out there these days because we ALL have skeletons in our past which we would prefer LEFT THERE...and public notoriety is the quickest way to insure that those skeletons will rear their ugly heads!

I also believe that the character of the accuser becomes quite apparent when he/she decides to point a finger and his/her perpetrator when there is a huge audience.  Had this woman’s intentions been genuine, would she have accepted money to be quiet?  It appears that one’s motivation is in question.

I think we’ve reached a point in our society where we are FORCED to choose between a person’s character and a person’s ability to do the job (at least where politics is concerned).  Who was the last political figure to throw their had in a race and didn’t have some sort of character assassination as part of his/her campaign?  It almost doesn’t matter if it’s true or not...it’s all part of the game.

I, too, thought i really liked Cain but i have to be honest...i’m looking at him a little harder these days...and maybe that’s not a bad thing.

    • Great points Daphne...and it is sad that we have come to the point where we are choosing between character and getting the job done.  It really shouldn’t be like that but that is our society these days...like it or not.  It seems to be these days that finding someone with “great” character and that can “get the job done“...is almost unheard of....unfortunately.

Our government is a cesspool....and it will take a true miracle of God to ever clean it up.

    • I must agree with Mary, as hub and I are following Cain’s every move and what we see, we like!  The liberal Dems are running scared and they know it...Obama’s people are hanging by their bootstraps and they know it...the other candidates, as they may have good ideas, are not what the American people need and want at this crisis point, so it is our duty to allow some new ideas into the White House and therefore bring us back up on our feet!

    • I have not been following this closely at all, but from what I’ve caught I agree with Mary.  This guy seems to have a brain and a plan, so let’s find any way we can to discredit him.

As Daphne said, we all have skeletons in the closet.  Goodness, the press would have a field day with mine if I ever decided to run for public office.
