Q & A

Penn State.I’m SO conflicted. Should an icon like joe pa be blamed? I feel he will die within 2 years without his precious job. I’m from Pa. and have been to Penn State.Did he do all that he could? He claims he did what was “required” It was up to the higher ups to do the rest. Clearly they dropped the ball but should Joe pa be the scape goat? I also think the man who hurt these kids will take his life if he gets the chance. So sad today.

We are all advocates for children. If he knew Sandusky was raping 10 year old boys and there wasn’t an arrest or investigation into what was reported to him than as a responsible adult he should have followed up to make sure other boys were not being abused.

    • He reported the incident to his superior which he was supposed to do.  I don't feel he should be fired.  I would like to know why the person who saw the act didn't stop it. Why did they walk away from it??? IMO, if I report a hold up or whatever to the authorities, it's not my responsibility to follow up and make sure the person who committed a crime was dealt with. I am in no way condoning ANY kind of child endagerment, molestation, etc. I do feel that with the public outcry they have made him a scape goat.  The whole situation is sad.

    • What TOTALLY shocks me is the guy that actually saw the shower incident and went to Paterno DID NOT GET FIRED!!! WHAT THE H?? I wonder if when Paterno reported to who ever,if he waould’ve been fired if he went to the police in addition to his superior. Policies are set up for a reason. They don’t always work. The president got fired and I think they got that right. He’s the one that should’ve stopped the guilty “one“. The other people were made examples of.I’m sure Paterno will succumb to old age and die. That’s another cross for that pervert to bear! And what about the presidential debates! The audience BOOED when honasty and integritty issues were raised by one of the reporters! Are women’s rights to safety from sexual preditors at risk here? I can stay objective in this case because I’ve been in politics and this COULD be a dirty trick to get Caine out of the race, but the issue MUST be investigated before he goes any further. I am so disappointed in the character of the men of our country. AAAGGGG!!!

    • EVERY SINGLE PERSON who new what was going on deserves to be fired and convicted of the maximum penalty allowed by law.  This is disgusting, disgraceful and immoral.  I don’t care who Joe Paterno is or what his accomplishments may be...he is as guilty as the perpetrator for EVERY SINGLE victim who was victimized from the time HE learned what was going on!!!

If you want to be as shocked and horrified as i am, read the Sandusky Grand Jury report transcript:

      [Link Removed]

If the link didn’t work, GOOGLE: sandusky grand jury transcript

The idea that anyone can excuse Joe Paterno or anyone else sickens me.  Doing the minimum required of them by their employer doesn’t excuse that he didn’t do the MAXIMUM on behalf of those kids who were victimized.  How does one’s conscience allow this????

Here’s one last think to chew on...Paterno allowed Sandusky to take kids to Bowl games and stay in the same room with Sandusky AFTER he (Paterno) knew what was going on.

It’s absolutely inexcusable, heinous and unforgiveable.  I hope there is a special place in hell for these people.

    • It’s gross, unforgivable, sick...hub was born and raised in PA and this has really saddened many people, but we agree..EVERYONE should be held responsible, it is inhumane treatment against children, therefore those involved must suffer the consequences and it will have an effect on the Nitts.frown
