Is working out part of your daily routine? If so, what do you do?
I work out almost daily. Through my life I’ve been a runner on and off and I’ve always worked out with weights. When menopause started I stopped working out because I just felt so lousy and gained a lot of weight. I’m back to running and lifting weights and now considering adding yoga for the flexibility since I’m now 50. All in all over the past year I’ve lost nearly 50 pounds.
Karate 3-4 days a week, Cardio classes 3 days a week. Tired, but in shape, 7 days a week!
I used to exercise on and off but after the death of both my parents this year I got into stress eating so I hired a personal trainer 3 weeks ago. I train with him twice per week, go to the gym twice on my own and yoga once per week. I am feeling great. Oh I have now lost 6 pounds.
Fantastic... bravo for you .. I know how that feels with the death of a parent.. oh boy... just went through it so I KNOW. I’m glad you are back on track and doing great. Bravo to you.
LOL thanks. Most of the time I sleep really well. 2 days a week for the last few weeks I’ve been assisting with a self-defense class which means I get beaten up for 30 minutes after the cardio class. As much as I’ve enjoyed assisting, I have to say I’m ready to be done. I’m tired and sore.
My work has interrupted my work out which hopefully next I can resume next week, I for the most part attend my aqua aerobics class and then it is crunches sit ups and wall push ups on other days. My doctor has not released me to do anything else
I always wanted to take a self defense class..it seems like it would be very empowering... Good for you! Sorry you‘re tired and sore though...LOl
i call my daily walk a work out. i try and go fast and faster. i try and run. i walk in the park where the ground is uneven, is a bit hilly and i wear very little clothing. the more cold i am the faster i will walk to make myself warm up. i repeat some parts of the walk and go where it is more hilly. my legs ache and i am puffing when i finally come to the end of my walk. 5 mins before i actually finish, i take off my gumboots and walk slower winding down and enjoying the park. allowing my feet to feel the cold concrete path, very pleasant way to cool down.
