    • When we first got married, my husband owned a boa constrictor!  Then later we got a cat.  One time the boa constrictor escaped from it’s tank and we were afraid it would eat the cat so we got rid of it.  Another time I accidentally stepped on it...I was holding a laundry basket or something.

    • I am actually afraid of those exotic pets since I heard of all the craziness lately with people owning them..the guy in Ohio that let all his pets loose and then committed suicide..it really terrifies me.

Will probably stick with the little creatures and hopefully a puppy in the future.estatic

    • I’m not a fan of exotic pets.  I think a zoo is the best place for them...other than in their natural habitat.

      Never owned one.

    • Define “exotic“.  Does exotic mean a pet that makes other people shake their head and call you crazy?  If so, then my emglish mastiff is pretty exotic around these parts.  The village elders gave me no end of head shaking today at coffee.

    • To me exotic is something different from the norm.  Cats, dogs, birds, fish are not exotic at least not to me.

Snakes, bearded dragons, pigs, iguanas, etc to me are exotic.estatic

    • I think of exotic as being not from this country. I have an African Grey named Shakina which is an african name meaning beautiful one. Right now she’s on her T- stand whistling, laughing making sounds singing. She just made her monkey sound followed by wolf whistle and because wheel of fortune is on she’s yelling “Oh my gosh!” She says I love you girl and lots of other sounds and words. I also hand raised cockatiels at one time.

    • i would love to own a snake, but the price to register it, and its house were an unaffordable expense.  wanted to own a bird eating spider but my children were too young and i did not want the spider to accidently escape its cage.  had a blue tongue lizard but it escaped.  love rats as a pet.
