    • Marion....it’s a website you join through either facebook or twitter (you sign in under either of those to usernames/passwords).  You download the “Pin it” button which you install on your tool bar at the top of your browser window.  Then whenever you are surfing the web and you find something you want to save...instead of bookmarking it and having a million bookmarks..you PIN IT....and it goes to your Pinterest Wall.  When you set up your Pinterest account you have boards...there you make up your own boards or categories...such as Things I love, Food, Crafts, FAshion, and the list goes on...whatever you want.  Then when you pin items you put them in the proper category for you to find later.  You can follow your friends from facebook or your email contacts....or anyone.  You can re-pin other people’s pins..etc.  It’s a great place to keep everything you love or want to keep in one place.  I hope this makes some sense.

    • I don’t know about this Pinterest, sounds like a way of tracking that they camouflage with the notion that it makes it easier to find things. Facebook is beginning to irritate me with that sidebar of ads and ticker crap. I always say if it ain’t broke don’t fix it and because of this nonsense I had to customize every one of my friends; I have no time to go through hundreds of notifications daily.

Getting back on topic. I use Google Bookmarks, with everything under certain categories/labels and on occasion I sweep the entire category of old links that no longer work. The ones I use the most, I place in an email and send them to my Google address to file them under my tag of ‘stuff to keep.’ Once I open that email, I minimize it and pull it up when I need one of those important links.

    • Kyah...Pinterest isn’t a means of advertising or tracking.  It’s just a way to bookmark your favorite things.  But you do what works best for you.happy

    • Just love Pinterest and love how you can do mood boards for all your different ideas and pick inspiration up.

I find it very soothing it’s quiet not like Facebook just pin when you see something great instead of trying to remember where you saw that great shoe or bed etc ......
funny I have tried to interest my UK friends and they don’t get it I feel like I have to sell it
