I lead such an exciting life. I usually get all dressed up in my pjs. put on a really good movie and pop some popcorn and relax. Oh and dinner is junk food night - Pizza bites, pigs in a blanket, egg rolls, and what ever else we can think of to eat.
We have oyster stew for supper, and just like a Saturday night, hubby watches movies and I fall asleep on the couch.

dh’s b-day is the 2nd. We‘re also really exciting. We don’t dress up, but I do like to make a nice dinner, use the china. we can’t even have a glass of the bubbly b/c of our meds-so we pop for a de-alcoholized version and we love to pull out the dvd’s of the kids when they were little and watch those.
may not seem it-but it’s very romantic. we bring the “lite” champagne to our whirlpool and finish the evening w/ a bath together and move on from there. Usually asleep b/f midnight.
stay home and at midnight break out the glasses and make a toast with apple cider with hubby and the kiddos
Stay home in my pjs and watch the new years eve specials that are on tv, especially Dick Clark’s rockin eve. Wait til midnight and then go to bed. Don’t really sleep cause all the fireworks are going off, so basically just lay there.
We just stay home, watch television and I usually make a special dinner for us. But, we‘re asleep by 9:00 and wake up to the fireworks and the hooplah in the neighborhood.
Oyster stew sounds wonderful!!! I may have to make that one of these nights.
we go to Mass, then dinner, sometimes a movie. Home by like 8 pm, the same friend comes over every New years eve. We have a toast to the New year. usually in bed right after midnight. My husband and sons are Mummers and leave for the Philadelphia New Years day Mummers parade early in the morning on New years day.

We might go to a friend’s house for the night, or have a few people over to our house. We usually eat, drink & play cards. If we go someplace and stay over it usually ends up like a pajama party since we all already worked all day long & just want to chill. That’s about it.
We usually don’t do anything. We are exciting too!! 
I’ll fix something good to eat....and I’ll be in my pajamas....watch a movie....watch Dick Clark’s New Year’s Eve show....and maybe stay awake until midnight...but most of the time...I’m gone!!
Last year my family and I went out to dinner and were home way before midnight. This year we will probably stay at home and watch the ball drop but lately I just can’t stay up too late anymore so we’ll see if we can last until midnight!
It varies from year to year.. some years hotel parties, some years stay home and make appetizers and food, one year making love through the hour and when the ball dropped... and this year... don’t know yet at all...so time will tell!
The last couple of years we were invited to our friend’s home..the first year we stayed until after midnight, the second year we stayed overnight...that was tough, trying to sleep in a different bed that was quite uncomfortable..lol.
This year if we go, then we are staying until just after midnight as I will drive home...we have a great board game to bring, appetizers and a non-alcoholic martini for me!
