    • No I have not. It must be so hard, I know when we were children my mother left my father due to alcohol abuse.
So I guess I have lost someone. frown
I remember it was very hard she went back to him several times before she left for good. I was 7 then and now I am 43 and I can count on my fingers how many times I have saw my father since.
I am grateful that my mother got us out of that kind of life.  No one should have to live through that kind of abuse(she was beaten black and blue by him, when he did decided to come home. Which was rare).frown

I give thanks everyday that my husband is such an amazing man..heart

      Hugz,

      MaryAnne

    • Yes, I lost my ex , he was my daughters father, and we had always remained friends. He was a very good person, just couldnt quit his addictions, very sad, especially for my daughter.

    • I left my first husband (now Ex) he was a very sweet guy with a lot of potential but due to having an horrible enabling family and brother ( got him hooked) he became a crack addict. The addiction caused him to become very violent and I had to go as we had a 6 month old. He used to write me letters from prison (there for a robbery to get money for said addiction) that he would kill me when he got out. I had, had it with being scared and the courts could not do much so I decided to take matters into my own hands. I became a police officer in order to protect myself and support our son. He pretty much stayed away from me when he was free but he has spend most of his life in prisons from the age of 19 to present day. I loved him very much, he was my first love and I tried to be supportive at first but even at 21 I could see that if I stayed he would either kill me or bring me down. It was the hardest but best thing I ever did for myself and I thank God I was smart enough to leave.
