    • I think she was an awesome singer and had a voice like no other.  But unfortunately she made some very bad choices in her life that ultimately took all that away from her.  This is just another example of what drugs will do to you.  Of course we do not know exactly what caused her death but I feel sure that the drugs she did take in the past had to contribute to it.  I would like to be proven wrong.  Since dealing with a son who is a drug addict...her death really makes me angry.  It is such a waste! It’s sad that such a talented woman was so miserable and so sick she couldn’t beat it.  And maybe she did beat it to a degree but I have to believe it took a toll.

I feel so for her family and will pray for God to give them strength through this very sad time.  The good thing is...she professed to be a Christ follower and I know she is heaven now and not hurting anymore.

    • It is sad but I can say I’m not at all surprised. I think marrying Bobbie Brown was the beginning of her downfall and she just kept on falling. It’s funny how us regular non-celebrity types look at celebrities and think WOW how lucky they have beauty, talent money the so called “They have it all” statement and the truth is they don’t have it anymore together the anyone of us. Clearly beauty, talent and money does not create happiness.

    • Well said.

I also feel, it’s very sad, but it doesn’t surprise me. And when they talked about bobbie brown being devastated - he wasn’t so devastated when he was beating the crap out of her and feeding her drugs. Such a waste.

    • I feel the same way too Choc, it is so sad for her daughter and the entire family dealing with such a tragic loss, but it was a spiraling effect of all the drama and trials of life she had been going through for so long, and with using the drugs off and on it took a toll on her body. I pray she made peace with God.

She made her choices and no one else can be blamed. I wish she had realized her worth and talent.

    • heartbreak, a life that gave much and suffered much. Her living was not in vain.  Many will pause, stop and think about their lives.  Some will make life changes for the better.

Her roots began in Jesus Christ and she professed a belief in Jesus Christ.  In her demise, I pray that  her life be a teaching ground to help others. I pray that her family seek refuge in God and everlasting peace during this time of sorrow.

DISCLAIMER: I have no clue as to the cause of death, therefore; only speak humbly from my perspective.

    • I loved her and always will......

She unfortunately didn’t know her own self worth and was able to be lead down a path that turned tragic. All the more reason for women to unite and strengthen other women and empower young ladies. Teaching and encouraging self worth has to be the way to go.

    • Very sad and untimely.  Yet another celebrity who had drug issues.  Like someone else said, they may be beautiful, rich, successful, famous, but that still does not guarantee happiness.

    • I am shocked and saddened by Whitneys tragic death. It makes me angry, we have so many addicted to drugs and it seems if you are in hollywood noone really cares, now theres a sweet girl who has lost thier mother way to soon. So many needless deaths. I loved her music. She was so talented til the drugs took hold of her life. Seems to me there should be something they could do for thease ppl besides giving them even more drugs.

    • Same as the ladies above said. Jennifer Hudson did a wonderful rendition of “I will always love you” at the Academy Awards.

    • I am still in shock. I remember how fabulous she was-we were about the same age and she was much too young to die! I’m so sad that she lost her way and left her daughter without a mom. Can’t imagine that Bobby Brown is going to make a great single parent. I read that Whitney dated him for three years before they married-it’s too bad she couldn’t leave him before she got addicted. heartbreak

    • Tragic!  Too bad she did not receive the proper help before it had to come to this.

      Prayers to her daughter!
