    • OHHHHHH...
      Board games at home
      Cards
There’s always a movie night that’s 1/2 price or less
Rent a movie from the $1.00 box and get some popcorn and pizza
Go onto coupons sites for restaurant discounts.
      Outside sports/activities

    • if you try some and get some friends-share w/ me!  first we lost all contact during the years we did day care.  too tired and poor to go out w/ those we did know.  then $$ is always an issue-especially after the loss of MY day job 3-1/2 years ago.  We don’t belong to a temple, we‘re not very good “club” people and the people dh works w/ are nice, but he’s already so stressed about the job, the last thing he needs is to then socialize w/ the same crowd!

    • *movie nite at home- hotdogs, popcorn, drinks, pickles, candy (make diet-compatible)

      *dinner party

      *share-a-hobby nite

      *game nite

      *plays

      *museums

*road trip to nearby town to sightsee/lunch

      *carnival, fair, zoo, botanical gardens

Decorating thematically would add ambiance : posting menu for movie nite, post movie/s, arranging furniture theatre-style, set-up refreshment area. Fun can be had at home! I found popcorn bags at a dollar store. Haven’t used them yet!

Let us know what kind of couples nite you plan.

    • Love all the ideas!!  We started game night with hub’s siblings and their spouses...it is usually once every other month..we have a great time.

Hub is also building his own shuffle board table for his rec room, so we will have shuffle board tournaments in the future.

We also plan to have a wine tasting party and movie night in the rec room too.

We found that having a special room in the house with lots of activities is fun for everyone.
