My MIL passed away. But when she was here, the relationship was not that great. Sad but true. I don’t see my FIL at all except on major holidays but when he was living here, we got along great!
I’m lucky to have a wonderful family in-law. They are open minded, joyful and supportive. 
I have no in-laws. But my husband gets along well with my mother. He calls her mom-in-law
My FIL passed away and I miss him dearly. He was like a true father to me, since my own father was abusive while I was growing up (he has since changed and we have a close relationship now). And my MIL and I are very close as well. I am truly blessed.
