Can anyone recommend some really neat places to stop and visit along the Pacific Coast 101? We are headed there in June.
Are you riding the bikes? If so, there so so many little quaint towns right along the coastal route (Highway 1)to stop and enjoy. I like going to San Simeon area just north of Cambria. Hurst Castle is there to visit if you like that sort of thing.
Gosh, my husband and I go up the coastal route all the time and now I’m drawing a blank on things to do.
definately stop at Gladstone’s and Neptune’s Net seafood places right on the beach!Neptune’s is more of a clam bake fish fry, biker thing, more of a local thing than tourist. Gladstone’s is a nice, pretty restaurant that sits right on the beach. Gladstone’s in Pacific Palisades and Neptunes in LA County Ventur4a Co borderline.
I really love all of the places above. Check out Carmel too I have great memories of Hearst Castle, Sam Simeon, Pismo Beach, Jazz, the beaches and the golf course in Carmel, Gladstone’s I love their food too.
Thanks guys. Pismo Beach is on the map. Neptunes sounds like fun. I’ve been to Gladstones before and wasn’t impressed with it. Guess I’m partial to our seafood. Pretty sure Santa Cruz is on the map as well.
