Q & A

LOL, has your hubby or significant other ever tried putting his foot down telling you that you can’t do something you so badly want to do, and if so what was the outcome did you listen or defy what he said lol?

    • Hello Girl It’s been awhile. I read this question and asked Phil if he can remember ever putting his foot down, (I didn’t)

and he said “No, you are free to make your own mistakes“! AGHHHHH we laughed so hard - what a knucklehead~

    • No my husband doesn’t even try he is a laid back southern boy and I’m a strong willed yankee. He doesn’t even try because he knows it would just challenge me to do it anyway. My husband is more of the “I would really rather you not do it but you do what makes you happy, I will still love you“.

    • It’s  been many years since any crazy attempts like that have been made. He values his life and happiness too much to try it again estatic

    • My husband does it all the time. He has a lot of power at work and tries to translate that at home. We have lots of battles about how controlling he is. Often times I back down and then resent him afterward. As I get older I do that much less. My mother was the dominant force in our family. My dad used to call her the “big chief.” He was a sweet man and had no problem with my mother making all the decisions. So, this has been a challenge in our marriage. I’m getting better, though.estatic

    • Hub does have control issues at times, but sometimes I can understand because as a young person, there was little communication and affection from his parents, and he always made his own decisions..but, he will get a boot in the pants if he tries to boss or bully me...I don’t back down!estaticestatic

    • Not really. We‘re pretty good about deciding things together. Although, I do remember when we first got married (23 yrs ago), actually it was our first day of being married. Anyway, we went to the grocery store and right at the front door was a lady with a box of “FREE” kittens. Dan saw my face and immediately said “no” we are not having a cat. SO I told the lady I would take one...I did have to show him that he was not going to tell me what to do. LOL!! estatic
