    • In my Asian family we are not hug people.  Sure we care about each other, but we just don’t do it except for special occassions. At my workplace I get hugs from kids and I give them side hugs.  Hugs feel so good! estatic

    • Linda, when I was coming up as a little girl my mom wasn’t a hugger and I vowed that when I had kids I would always hug and kiss them no matter how old they got they will always be my babies, and a lot of people don’t understand our relationships because we‘re so close and loving but I promised myself I would love on my kids, hubby and g-babies because I didn’t grow up that way but yearned for it, and I always hug and kiss my siblings when I see them and I know its different for them to not really knowing if they practice it in their homes or not but they get them from me and mine. happy

    • Hubby and I hug every day.  My puppy dog and I hug every day.  Beyond that I am not much of a hugger.  Wasn’t raised that way.

    • In Hawaii everyone hugs. And, as a sign of respect, young people hug and give a kiss on the cheek to adults. When I go to my husband’s school, the kids, even the high schoolers, give me a kiss on the cheek. It’s something I had to get used to over here but it’s kind of nice.

Last evening I was at an event at my college and the chancellor, who knows my husband, came and gave me a hug. Hawaii is a very huggy placeestatic

    • I am an avid fan of hugging...hub was not raised that way, so it is very difficult to get him to hug.  Our son loves to hug, so his future girlfriend or wife will be happy.
