    • I love the heated seats on my daughter’s new car, but honestly I could do just fine without all the other widgets!  I love my stripped down basic cheap ride and wish I could find a new one just as basic!!

    • I have never owned a car with any gadgets, sure would be fun even for one day to ride in extreme comfort.  Funny thing too, hub hopes to get a newer truck for himself in a year and the Ford Ranger will be mine, it shakes, rattles and rolls, but I love it.estaticestatic

    • Ok so most of my career has been spent in a car..... So when you spend most of your work day in a car you want (and need) those luxories. The only thing that would have made my car office better would have been a mini fridge and microwave estatic

Now that I work 3 minutes from home I don’t really need any gadgets. But once you have them it’s hard to get rid of.

    • Mary, a Ranger is what I’ve been driving for several years now.  A 1994, no frills model and boy does it shake and rattle!  Sadly, they have stopped manufacturing Rangers at least in the US, so I won’t be getting a new on like I’d planned to do at some point.

Vikki, when you‘re on the road all the time, comfort is essential.  When I was on the road a lot more, I had far more comfortable vehicles.

Now, I just have an issue with the fact that all those gizmos break eventually and cost the EARTH to fix and add so much to the price of a car.

    • I’d love heated seats when we move back to the mainland. That would be a dream.

for the moment I’d just like to have a working overhead light in my truck. “We” (my husband) bought me a junker to take to campus while I’m in school. He, on the other hand, drives a Mercedes!!
