Q & A

Help. I have been working with this coworker for 7 years. She had stopped talking to me and the other coworkers for a few months. This has happened two times before in the past and I have gone up to her to ask her what was wrong. She has told me she is sensitive, that she has more in common with the other girls than me (probably cuz they have kids and I don’t). However, this time she is now talking to the other coworkers but not me. She told one of the coworkers she doesn’t know where she stands with me and I didn’t tell her I was going on a trip and I didn’t tell her about someone’s dog passing away. This is really awkward. I don’t feel I want to approach again because I feel we are not true friends. She has many issues. I just want to get a census if I should just remain professional if we need to talk or should I say something to her?

    • You said this happened before.  For me I would leave her alone.  She seem to have a lot of issues and she is projecting things unto you.  Make sure to keep it professional and being polite but you are not obligated to be “friends” with her.  You have to guard your soul and seek happiness and peace for yourself.

I go to work to work and pay my bills. Yes I have co-worker friends but I keep my personal business to myself.

    • Thank you ladies, I agree with you, I just wanted to make sure.  It is just sad when this happens, life is too short, and if we spend most of out time together, one would think clearing the air is important.  I will go about my business, I don’t need negative people in my life.

    • Good luck and yes, life is too short to have negative in your life or toxic people. But I do hope everything works out and you can at least stay friends.heart
