How are you about getting new neighbors? Are you very welcoming at 1st, stand-offish til you get a feel for them, or just plane ole don’t want to be bothered?
I tend to be friendly to everyone. I guess that makes me a good neighbor!
When we first moved in, the whole neighborhood was just being built so we still know alot of the neighbors who have been here from the start. As far as new neighbors, if they seem friendly, we will say hello, wave when we see them out, ect. Seems alot of new people want to be left alone, which is fine also. They usually move away before ya know it anyway.
@ all answers. I’m a hello and keep it movin’ type.

I do say hello and try and greet them but if they donot want to be bothered and donot even seem like they want to say hi, I keep it moving. One of my neighbour’s 14 year old hung himself 3 weeks ago and I reached out to his mom and she was a very to yourself person but I had to. My husband on the other hand is much more friendly than I am.
I got new neighbors this spring but I worked with her for years so I don’t really think that counts as new people. I actually never see them so I can’t be friendly or otherwise.

We just recently got new neighbors and I haven’t said anything to them as I never see them. I could care less either way as long as they are not trouble makers or have screaming kids.
Now my hubby’s another story...lol, he will talk to everyone! I get my information from hiim..lol
We got new neighbors a few weeks before we moved from our house in Linden. We were so busy we really didn’t have a chance to introduce ourselves and we figured, what’s the point, we‘re leaving here shortly anyways.
However, when we lived in Linden and the neighbors right next to us moved in, we did introduce ourselves and bought them cookies.
My neighborhood has so many tenants in it; they come & go so fast, there really is no time to get to know them. Some of the folks who’ve been around a while, though, we are friendlier with.
I tend to say hello and keep going, but if there is time to talk like we are both out walking or something then I will stop and talk
