What are your thoughts about men wearing rings? Other than a wedding band?
I know it’s a matter of personal taste and all that, but I just can’t get used to it.
I was born and raised in very conservative farming communities. Men don’t wear jewelry. Period, end of discussion. Some men wear their wedding ring, but when you‘re doing manual labor, it’s a really great way to injure or loose your finger, so lots don’t. In fact till eight years ago, I never wore a ring for that very reason.
We have one guy at work who wears like 3 rings. It still seems so odd to me. Especially after I nearly sprained my finger yesterday because my ring caught on something.
Just some random thoughts that go thru my head when I’m bored at work. :) Which is most of the time.

I feel the same, none of the men in my circle of friends/family wear jewelry either...hubby won’t even wear his ring, due to his line of work.
It’s a personal perference. I love to see men wearing their wedding bands. Hubby has 2 wedding bands-one that I bought, the other one he bought himself. He wears a very nice chain that I bought and he bought the complementary pendant. His jewelry is very tasteful.
The most jewelry worn by my circle of men is a wedding band.

I wonder if this is a generational thing? I don’t know how old the guy at work is, but I’m guessing he’s almost young enough to be my kid.

I bought Joe a black coral ring for his birthday one year and he loves it. He doesn’t wear it every day but for special occasions he wears it with his gold watch.
Hub has not worn his wedding ring since the day we were married..he works with optometry equipment and would probably ruin it. He wears no other jewelry either.
Both my hubby and I wear our rings out in public but when we‘re home the rings are usually off. It’s a habit we got into.
