    • When I was young, I always said I wasn’t going to be one of those old ladies who couldn’t eat this or that because it just “doesn’t agree with me”

Well, as I get older, I find the foods I’ve always known I was allergic to, really don’t agree with me.  I really should avoid wheat and tomatoes.  In hind sight, they’ve never agreed with me, I’m just smart enough to avoid them now.

    • i find that i go through particular food periods.  for weeks i would just enjoy a particular food group. like veges, fruit and maybe fish.  then i would stop this and move onto junk food, sweets and sulty food.  etc i guess my eating habits are cyclical.  now that i am older there are goods i just dont like very much. ....i would dearly miss the ability to eat fresh fruit with my own teeth.

    • salty foods now make my heart race. In fact, I find that I am more sensitive to random foods that seem to bring on hot flashes. I also gain weight around my middle much easier than I did when I was younger. Wine seems to make me uncomfortable afterward, even just one glass.

    • Sometimes after a meal (usually lunch at work), I get a sharp tummy ache for about 1-2 minutes and then it goes away. I’m trying to pinpoint what food is causing it - perhaps wheat bread (sandwich) and banana, but not always.
Any weight gain goes to my hips.

    • I agree in every way.  In my case, dealing with acid reflux disease is no fun.  I take a prescription stomach medicine, so I must be very careful what I consume.

Last night we had tacos..chicken and beef.  The spicy sauce was very troubling for me.  Sticking with bland foods, fruits, veggies, almond milk, low carb is a better alternative for me.

I also gain around my waist, Cynthia...and I hate it!frown

    • The only food I really can’t eat are Taco Bell’s tacos.  I used to love them but now if I eat them, they make me sick!

    • I WISH some foods didn’t agree with me lol.  Unfortunately, I’m very up for anything - spicier the better!

    • I’m with you Denise, the spicier the better, as long as there’s no wheat in it!  For years, one of my favorite breakfasts was jalepeno poppers, still is really, I just can’t afford them nowdays.
