What does Memorial Day mean to you? Do you celebrate?
I worked today and it was busy. Great for business but made me think. No one was cooking out, I heard of no parades going on. It almost seemed liked it was just another day.
Now back home there would have been parades, picnics in the parks, and people cooking out.
Is it just a regional thing maybe???

I don’t know Vikki. Maybe it is regional.
Around here, we have Memorial day services put on by the American Legion and Legion Auxillary.

Any holiday celebrating America is big in southeast Pennsylvania..particularly Philadelphia, which has much history. Not sure about other parts of the country, but one would think that the whole USA would celebrate its veterans..makes me feel sad...we put out our flags and flew them high!
Honestly I don’t know if there were any Memorial Day celebrations in our neighborhood yesterday. We stayed home since we were out the whole day the day before. I did pause to remember our veterans and said a prayer for them.
I think that it was just your regional. We had several community memorial services, out door concerts, picnics large and small. Several of my neighbors cooked in their backyards, I could see the smoke and smell the BBQ.
