    • Had to think for a minute...but I would organize block clean-ups, a block party at least once or twice during the summer, when a new person moves on the street there is a welcome wagon where residents pitch in and welcome the people...boy things have changed through the years!frown

    • I’m sure my answer would be different if I lived elsewhere or under different conditions. The unemployment rate here in Memphis is somewhere between 8.4 and 10.3.
I would have a class on how to dress when applying in person for jobs, how to dress for the actual interview, how to prepare for the interview, and what not to say.

Please don’t ask me for my name so you can turn it in claiming you have applied for jobs, and don’t wear your skimpiest clothes while trying to impress me......lUGH!!!

    • I already spend a lot of time making a difference where I live.
If I had the $$$ available, I’d give some scholarships to any kids wanting to go to college and return to our community.

    • I did not realize the unemployment rate is so low in Memphis, Vikki..but I will read up on this as it really upsets me.  How do these people survive?  Good idea about the interview class, apparently these applicants really need training even in proper dress.

Volunteering is very rewarding, Cynthia, it has always been something I love.

T, I know you do, how is your friend doing?

    • I have always wanted to open my very own shelter for battered women with small children house them, council them, feed them, and get them back on their feet with their confidence that they can make it w/or w/o a man. So many women stay in abusive relationships because they feel helpless without a man in their life, so I would love to help change their way of thinking and support them and get them back to a healthier being and to society.
