Our bathroom is the most hideous site in the whole house..it is kept very clean, but the lay-out and the color scheme are original. The steps to the attic are in the bathroom closet and hub has to get a step ladder to climb up into the attic, plus any dust just shoots into my bathroom. I only keep cleaning products in the closet.
The tiles are black and pink, which are not bad, but I had to paint everything white or it would be obnoxious..plus we had to put a tub insert over the tiles because water would leak behind the tiles..the whole bathroom needs to be gutted, but takes money.
I love my bathroom! Because we have natural wood all over the house (baseboards, window frames, etc.), we have the bathroom in natural woodsy/earth tones & touches of green.
Mary, I’d kill for a pink and black bathroom!!!! Regrout those tiles and celebrate the vintage look!
My bathroom is a work in progress, but most of it is now knotty pine planking with a pickled white stain on it. At some point I hope to have a ceramic tile shower in some color that blends with the pine boards.
The reason I ask is that I paint so many bathrooms. Homeowners tend to paint the bathroom blue and then they find they don’t like their bathroom. As soon as they have a warmer friendlier color on the wall, they are much happier with the bathroom.

Mine is white (hubby likes white walls) tub/shower has grey tiles, and floor is natural/tanish colors. Its OK I guess..I add color with shower curtain, rugs, towels, ect.
Men always think they like white walls. Usually because they are not the ones who have to keep them clean! LOL! Men know two decorating colors they are sure about. White and blue.
My hubby saw nothing wrong with any of our walls. Didn’t see any point in painting them—until I got done. He is still in awe of how much better/cozier/happier some of our walls look. He was especially blown away by the purple sponge painted wall.

Mine is the size of a telephone booth and it is all in wood. I can’t really say I like it, but it is practical.Takes 10 minutes to clean. :)
I miss having a bath. Hubby plans to make one outside (we do not have any neighbors) with a system of heated water so we can bathe in it even in winter. That would be extra nice!
I have a decent bathroom but it is the worst room in my house.
The walls are a soft muted yellow but the trim is beige. The ceiling is very high and is popcorn. I just redid the cabinet in there and we have changed the light fixture.
We really are holding off on polishing it up until we hire someone to do the ceilings. The popcorn needs patching and it’s too much for one of those kits. I refuse to be the one scraping it of, remudding and sanding. So.......

My bathroom walls are white and I am using the colors cranberry, black at accent the white.

Coral and black tiles. The tub, face bowl and toilet are white.
In answer to your second part of your question ... NO!
I’m not a person who likes pink in any shade and this coral crap makes me crazy. It was the landlord’s niece who thought that would look nice. My reaction was, “at least it’s not green.”
we rent and our bathroom is white. easy to clean and a great backdrop for decor. personally not a colour i would choose. i love spacious bathrooms.
