Have you ever cut yourself and it wouldn’t stop bleeding?
I was peeling a cucumber and the peeler caught the tip of my finger right by the cuticle. I must have hit a surface capillary because the darn thing just wouldn’t stop bleeding. I had to wrap a total of 3 paper towels around it. It was really strange.
Well back in the day of doing hair cutting my finger or knuckle was a regular occurrence. I imagine I should have had stitches a few times........

Yes, this happens to me a lot, but I am on an anti-inflammatory so any little cut will cause excessive bleeding...have learned to keep heavy duty band-aids around.
I’ve noticed that when I’m on the anemic side, it takes a cut a lot longer to stop bleeding. Working in a kitchen as I did for years, I’ve had a lot of cuts and it’s never a good thing when they bleed and bleed while you‘re trying to cook.

No, it’s never happened. I hope your finger’s better Cynthia.

it takes a very heavy knock to my nose before i bleed, but when i start it takes quite a while to stop. i do not have a diagnosed blood disorder
I was cooking dinner tonight and hit the finger on something and it bled just as much as it did yesterday. Sheesh!
It just occurred to me that a styptic pencil would help, Cynthia, do they still make those, I wonder.
